Born from this one gig that we had to play in Mumbai as a duo in January 2017, the unqualifiable and unquantifiable accordionist, puppeteer and all-around showman Matija Solce and I worked up a quick repertoire of folk tunes…. and then, lacking a place to practice, rehearsed on the streets, beaches, bus stops and greasy spoons of the Indian back-country, inevitably drawing crowds and even netting ourselves a viral video (now unfindable, sadly). An ephemeral project on stage, but ongoing in jam sessions anytime we can, we’ve sworn we’ll do it “properly” again. Someday.
